Bayview Treehouse is set in an envious position, amongst established trees yet with 180 degree views overlooking the Estuary, New Brighton Beach, with the Kaikoura mountains in the distance. Bayview Treehouse takes it name from the small waterway (Bayview Waterway) which runs through the property and the enormous willow (approx 50 years old) which wraps the front of the property. Sumner Village, a 5 minute drive located at the bottom of the hill has plenty of restaurants, cafes, and a cinema and library for your convenience. It is a safe swimming beach in summer.
Built in 2019 to sustainable principles, twenty solar panels generate enough energy to completely run the home, when the sun is shining. It has a small footprint on the land.
The retreat accommodation is private, and is accessed via an exclusive guest exterior staircase. It includes a generous king bedroom with ensuite; adjacent living space also with ensuite; private guest deck and a separate visitor toilet. The king bedroom is cantilevered and overlooks the garden and huge willow. The living space is spacious with views of the treetops and the sea in the distance.. Attention to detail is evident throughout, with you, the guest in mind. The ensuites have both rain and massage showers, underfloor heating and sensor lighting. There is central heating throughout which can be adjusted to suit.
Guests are greeted upon arrival and welcomed to the property. On arrival you will find in your Suite a welcome hamper. Your stay also includes a glass of wine with the host in the main living area/deck. (at a convenient time during your stay)
